Tijdens het piekseizoen is Crow's Nest Lookout donderdag-donderdag.
Homeport huisjes zijn langs een volledig prive-rijstrook op een 20 hectare groot perceel dat uitkijkt op de Northumberland Straat op het zuidelijkste puntje van P. E.I. Crow's Nest ligt verscholen in het bos op ongeveer 150 meter van het water. De zon bereikt de dech niet erg zwaar tot ongeveer 11 uur 's morgens. Als je het 's ochtends donker en koel tijdens de hete zomermaanden leuk vindt, zul je deze plek leuk vinden. Je kunt een paar muggen verwachten met de donkerdere koelte in de ochtenden en avonden. maar wanneer de zon opkomt, zullen ze niet lang duren. We hebben een scherm dat ook over de paraplu op het dek kan gaan. De South Shore heeft het warmste water en de rustigste zeeën op het eiland. De inham heeft de vorm van een groot hoefijzer en we zitten precies in het midden. Geniet van prachtige zonsopgang / zonsondergang. Het pand heeft een prachtig 1000 voet lang wit en rood diep zandstrand en zandbanken gaan bij eb behoorlijk ver uit. De huisjes zijn goed uit elkaar (600-1000 voet) en ze hebben hun eigen aparte toegang tot het afgelegen strand, met veel ruimte voor iedereen om hun eigen privacy op het strand te hebben. U kunt bij eb zoeken naar kokkels, rotskrabben, zanddollars en heremietkreeften op de zandbanken, of mijlen wandelen en verkennen in de getijdenpoelen of gewoon ontspannen op het warme zand en zoeken naar zeeglas en andere schatten langs de kust. Geweldig om te zwemmen en en leuk voor kinderen om zandkastelen te bouwen. Er is voldoende ruimte op het strand en veel grote parasols met houten tafels en ligstoelen om wat schaduw te vangen op warme middagen. Zeehonden kunnen worden gezien zonnebaden in de buurt van de vuurtoren.

We liggen op 1 km van het bezoekersinformatiecentrum Plough Through The Waves met een slijterij en winkels.
Harnas racen is in Charlottetown en Pinette. Ceilidhs zijn in Orwell en Montague. Rossignol-wijnmakerij in Little Sands. Restaurants, tankstations, bankinstellingen en supermarkten bevinden zich in Montague, op 20 minuten rijden ten noorden. De hoofdstad Charlottetown ligt op 40 minuten rijden. Twee golfbanen zijn binnen 15 minuten te bereiken. Verzamel 's avonds rond de vuurplaats, voorzien van hout.

Crow's Nest Lookout, Homeport by the Sea

An immaculate, cozy cottage with woods on three sides giving complete privacy and quietness.It's about a two minute walk down to a wonderful, private beach. The owner, Darryl, is so kind and helpful! We have found a new paradise in which to spend our vacations!!

Our first visit to PEI

Our short vacation was fantastic. The beautiful beach and low tides are amazing there. We did paddleboarding, kayaking, and walking. It is a good place for swimming. Very nice and clean house with all the supplies. It makes vacations more comfortable.

Crow’s Nest

The Crow’s Nest cottage was great. It is set back with a view of the ocean from the porch. We loved watching the tides come in and out. The cottage has everything you need for a super enjoyable stay. It is clean, well stocked, and has comfy beds. The location is wonderful and exploring the beach each day is the reason to go for us. Darryl is a super attentive property owner and makes sure you have everything that is needed. We look forward to coming back again.

Beautiful beach protected in a small bay with the tide.

Great experience. We drove the whole east coast and the north central coast. The crows nest cottage in wood islands is positioned perfect. Water being in a protected bay was calm and peaceful well protected looking out at the northumberland straight and Nova Scotia. It was great driving around and exploring but it’s tough to match the calmness , sand and beach this cottage offered. We saw a bald eagle on the property and seals in the ocean.

A little slice of heaven!

We were so thrilled with our stay at Homeport’s Crows Nest cottage! It's so well maintained, the kitchen is fully stocked, the bathroom was very clean and tidy – lots of towels and the wifi was really good! Just out the front door there’s a great deck with two eating/lounging areas. It’s on a lovely property that has a private beach, so you can go for a little walk along the water and hunt for beautiful sea shells, sit on the beach and tuck your toes in the soft sand or sit on a bench for two and take it the lovely view. At low tide you could walk quite a ways with the clear water barely knee high and you get to see some little crabs and tiny hermit crabs now and then! Darryl, our host, was a pleasure to work with, he was super responsive and flexible! We would definitely love to stay there again. A little slice of heaven!

Great experience!

I stayed with mom and 2 kids at the smaller cabin in early July and we had a great time! The beach was fantastic, with tones of wild life,crystal clear water and places to rest provided by the owner including beds, chairs, tubes for kids and even a kayak ! Few minutes away from the ferry to NS.In the cabin we had everything we needed and even beyond.Had a great time.Thank you Darryl.

Fantastic

We've stayed with Homeport twice now, once with Portside and once with Starboard and Portside. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience both times. Quiet and private on a fantastic beach with a great amount of exposure at low tide for ankle OR knee deep exploration. It's very clean and well maintained and Darryl is a very friendly and attentive host, Great guy! Never met Leslie but I'm sure you're a gem too It's P.E.I after all and everybody seems happy to see you. It's located on the quiet end of P.E.I but there's still plenty to do without all hubbub of the center Island vacationing crowd. We LOVE that. We'll definitely be going back, thanks for everything!

Wonderful place!

My family stayed here for 10 days this summer. Leslie went over and above and was the best host we have ever had in all our VRBO experices. The cottage was immaculate, comfortable, and you could tell that everything was done with so much care and attention to detail. The beach is gorgeous, although more for exploring than for swimming. Thank you Leslie for teaching us how to go clam digging, then digging for us, cooking it with/for us, and showing us how to eat it (he also helped us cook lobsters!) We would have never figured it all out! Our friends also came to stay and we enjoyed exploring PEI and having fires at night. I didn't know much about PEI when I booked this, and I'm so glad we chose the beautiful Woods Island as our home base. Make sure to bring LOTS of bug spray as the Mosquitos were intense.

Cottage Rental - Burlington, Ontario

We rented the Starboard Cottage for a week. It was nicer than even the pictures showed on the internet. So clean, bright, with lots of windows and all the amenities you could want. Ocean view from the combined living room dinning room as well as lighthouse views. Quiet & peaceful with steps to the ocean. When the tied is out it is great for walking, digging clams or for small children a great place to dig & splash in the ankle deep water. We had a fire almost every night, wood was provided. It is not in the hub of things but that is what we wanted. You can easily get to all areas of PEI. The owners are wonderful, thoughtful and kind people. Golf courses near by, two wineries as well. Fresh fish/lobster just down the road, fresh veggie stand a short drive away, what more could you want. I can't say enough about this cottage & property. I would definitely return and have no hesitation recommending it to anyone.

Sixth year in Starboard cottage

We are returning this July for our sixth summer vacation in Leslie's Starboard cottage, at Homeport by the Sea! We enjoy the view, the private beach, the cosy cottage decor, (washer and dryer),the large sunny kitchen, the hummingbirds. Our daughter's family has stayed in Port cottage, and loved it also.Leslie and her property manager, Darryl are onsite, and work very hard to look after everyone's needs, big or small. We highly recommend this beautiful beach property, no air conditioning needed!

1 Year Anniversay Visit

This was a great spot for my husband and I to come on our anniversary. The beach is so private, we had it all to ourselves for 5/7 days of our holiday. Never have we experienced such a great beach. Leslie, the owner of the property and Darryl, her son and grounds keep told us about all the local attractions; especially Crabby's Seafood right down the road on the dock. And Rossignol's winery, a bike ride away. Delicious Island made fruit wine! Very peaceful, memorable experience. I have recommended this property to my friends. And we will be back!
